Innovative Practices of the College

The College promotes an ambience of creativity and innovation, which enhances its image in the society and contributes to its growth. The following are some innovative practices:
• ISO 9001: 2015 Certification. This involves regular internal as well as external audits.
• ‘Staff Welfare Academy’organises‘Annual Weeklong Faculty Development Programmes’ open for staff of all colleges of Gokhale Education Society.
• Annual Study Tours for students of all faculties.
• Research Cell organizes‘Staff Study Tours’ to different Universities in order to encourage collaboration and research.
• Four Student-Centred Associations – Commerce and Economics Association, Home Science Association (HAN), Kala Mandal, and Nature Club.
• SRUJAN- an annual educational exhibition open to all schools and colleges in Nashik.
• ‘Rang Sparsh’- an exhibition of Art and Paintings by the B.V.A. Staff and students. The B.V.A.Department designs the College’s Academic Calendar and the cover of college magazine, Shatarupa.
• ‘SangeetMahotsav’- Annual music concert organized by Department of Music wherein renowned artistes from all parts of India are invited. It is open to all Nashikites. The department also organises a musical programme on teachers’ day.
• ‘Nutrition Week’is organized by Department of Food Science and Nutrition. The department also offers consultancy services to Small Scale Industries such as Shriram Foods,ChunchunChikies, Mahindra and Mahindra Co. Canteen, etc.
• ‘Commerce Week’is organized by Commerce and Economic Association wherein a Trophy is awarded to the ‘Best Student Participant’.
• ‘Tourism Week’is organized by staff and students of Travel and Tourism Department.
• ‘Hindi Day’ is celebrated by the Department of Hindi.
• Department of Marathi organizes various programmes during ‘Marathi Pandharwada Celebrations’.
• ‘VachakManch /Book Club’is established to encourage the habit of reading among students.
• ‘Wall Magazines’– various regular displays are put up by students with original or news worthy articles and pictures called Daffodils, HAN, NSS, Nature Club, Kala Mandal, Commerce Bulletin Board, etc.
• ‘Counselling Cell’ for students offers free counseling facility for students.
• ‘Career Guidance and Placement Cell’organizes various programmes to help students prepare for various careers and arrangesCampus Interviews annually.
• ‘Mock Interviews’ are conducted by the Department of English for students of Third Year.
• ‘Ms. SMRK Personality Contest’and the Annual ‘Garba Competition’ issponsored by renowned personalities among our alumni.
• Our College alumni also sponsor some of the activities, and also participate actively, during the Annual Gathering.
